Well, I don’t know about you, but I am SO ready for fall.
I adore summer and am always sad to see it go, but nothing beats the crisp, cool air of fall mornings, football on Sundays, the smell of spiced baked goods wafting from the oven, and warm bowls of cozy soups and stews. Oh, and the apples! And pears! And squash! All of it is good, people. ALL of it….

Ya know, with Memorial Day only a couple weeks away. Bathing suit season is looming. And poutine and bathing suits don’t really play well together, do they? But, hey, I’m throwing my better judgement out the window today and sharing this glorious (slightly gluttonous?) dish with you all anyway. You can thank (or hate) me when all is said and done.
One thing that I adore about this time of year is that it is brown butter season. Isn’t it? If not, can we officially declare fall “brown butter season”? I mean, brown butter is totally acceptable all days of the year in my world, but this is the season where we all seem to embrace it. I could drizzle it on just about ANYTHING I’m eating.
