Description

This simple martini comes together with all the flavor of luscious fall figs and floral honey. No simple syrup required!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 fresh figs, quartered
  • 3 tablespoons fig jam
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 6 oz vodka
  • Sliced fresh figs, as optional garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the figs, jam, lemon juice, and honey together until the figs are mostly broken down.
  2. Add ice and the vodka and shake the mixture vigorously for a few seconds to chill and incorporate the ingredients.
  3. Strain into martini glasses and garnish with slices of fresh fig. Serve immediately.

Notes

I use a cocktail strainer for this cocktail to remove the larger pieces of fig. This does not remove the fig seeds, which don’t bother me at all. If you don’t want the fig seeds in your drink, strain the muddled fig mixture through a fine mesh strainer before mixing with the vodka.
