This Amaretto Peach Crisp sings with flavor! Juicy, sweet fresh peaches are sweetened with sugar, vanilla, and amaretto liqueur and then topped with a spiced and buttery almond-oat crumble. This is the perfect dessert to make with those summer peaches! All that’s missing is a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

Sometimes there is nothing better than a ripe summer peach.

The only thing that improves upon a perfect peach is baking it into a dessert with sugar and butter. But that makes everything better, right?

This Amaretto Peach Crisp does just that and then some. This is my ideal summer dessert.

Sweet, juicy peaches swim in a concoction of sugar, vanilla, and amaretto liqueur and are topped with the most addictingly delicious oat and almond crumble. Buttery, sweet, spiced, and…well, heavenly!

The amaretto here is so special. While the resulting dessert doesn’t taste boozy, the liqueur adds a rich almond flavor and sweetness that really can’t be replicated. It is SO good with peaches, brown sugar, almonds, oats, and cinnamon.

I love fruit crisps like this because they are always delicious (pretty much fool proof!), easy to make, and they serve a crowd. All that is needed to serve this is some ice cream, preferably a good vanilla bean. And do yourself a favor: serve the crisp warm. It makes all the difference!

Fruit crisp is something I will forever hold dear. The juicy, syrupy fruit and buttery brown sugar topping always make me swoon a bit. And this version is no exception!

Ingredients You Need for This Amaretto Peach Crisp:

For the Peach Filling:

  • Fresh peaches
  • All-purpose flour
  • Granulated sugar
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Vanilla extract
  • Amaretto liqueur
  • Salt

For the Crisp Topping:

  • Light brown sugar
  • All-purpose flour
  • Old-fashioned oats
  • Sliced almonds
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Unsalted butter – very cold and cut into small cubes

How to Make This Amaretto Peach Crisp:

For the Peach Filling:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter or spray a 9-inch pie dish (alternatively, you can make this in a 2-quart baking dish, or cast iron skillet).
  • Combine the peaches, flour, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, amaretto, and salt in a large bowl, stirring gently until everything is evenly combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

For the Crisp Topping:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, oats, almonds, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add the cold butter and cut it into the dry ingredients using your hands, a pastry cutter, or two forks until the mixture is crumbly and sticking together in spots.
  • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the peach filling.
  • Transfer the pie dish to the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the crisp is bubbly around the edges and the topping is golden brown and crisp.

To Serve:

  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. We love this topped with vanilla ice cream and additional toasted almonds. If you’re feeling extra indulgent, a small drizzle of amaretto over the ice cream is heavenly!
  • This can be served warm (my recommendation) or at room temperature. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
