Caramel Apple Latte

  • Author: Molly
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving (easily multiplied) 1x

Description

This Caramel Apple Latte is a fun fall twist on your morning cup of joe. Think of it like eating a piece of apple pie with a cup of coffee – the flavors just work! It’s warm and spiced and a touch sweet with a very subtle apple flavor. It’s a fall morning in a mug.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Caramel Apple Sauce:

  • ¼ cup apple butter
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce

For One Latte:

  • 2 oz caramel apple sauce (or to taste)
  • 2 oz brewed espresso (or strong coffee)
  • 4 oz steamed milk of choice
  • Whipped cream
  • Additional caramel, for serving
  • Ground cinnamon, for dusting

Instructions

For the Caramel Apple Sauce:

Whisk the apple butter and caramel together in a bowl until smooth and well combined.

For One Latte:

  1. Spoon the caramel apple sauce into the bottom of a serving glass or mug.
  2. Top off with the hot espresso and stir well to melt the caramel apple mixture in the hot espresso.
  3. Top off with the steamed milk, whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, and a light dusting of cinnamon.
  4. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

This recipe makes enough caramel apple sauce for 3-4 lattes, depending on how much you use. If you want to make one serving of the sauce, combine 1 tablespoon each of the apple butter and caramel in the bottom of your glass/mug. Or make a bunch and keep it in the fridge for lattes all week long! This recipe is easily doubled or even quadrupled.
