These Fresh Blueberry Margaritas are as delicious as they are pretty! Fresh blueberry syrup is shaken with tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice for a spectacularly summery sip.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it another 100 times: I love a good margarita.
They are, hands down, my go-to cocktail in the warmer months. They’re refreshing and tangy, a touch sweet, and very versatile.
These Fresh Blueberry Margaritas are no exception. They are bursting with fresh blueberry flavor, look like a berry dream, and might just be the newest fave summer cocktail in this household.
It starts with a fresh blueberry syrup that we use in place of any other sweeteners, like regular simple syrup or agave, typically used in margs.
Fresh blueberries, sugar, and water simmer away on the stove until the berries have broken down and the syrup is thickened and glossy.
I like to strain out the solids, but this step is optional. All that’s left to do is shake it up with your favorite tequila, triple sec, and lime juice and throw it on a salt-rimmed glass filled with ice.

How to Make These Fresh Blueberry Margaritas:

- Bring to a simmer and cook, mashing the berries gently with the back of a spoon, for about 10 minutes.

- The syrup can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to one week.
For 1 Cocktail:
- To a shaker filled with ice, add the tequila, orange liqueur, syrup, and lime juice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to combine and thoroughly chill the ingredients.
- Rub a lime wedge around the rims of the serving glass and then place the rim in a shallow dish or plate of salt.
- Fill the glass with ice and then strain the margarita into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge/slice and more blueberries. Serve immediately.
