These Buffalo Chicken Ranch Cheese Fries are the tailgating snack of my dreams! Crispy, ranch-seasoned fries topped with spicy buffalo chicken, cheese, and ranch dressing – all buffalo chicken fans will flip for these! Perfect for the big game spread.
The Super Bowl is this weekend!
For many, that means lots and lots of snacks are in order. And buffalo chicken SOMETHING is a must for the big game.
These Buffalo Chicken Ranch Cheese Fries are everything you need in life for this weekend’s celebration (or really, anytime).
And since my beloved Eagles are in the Super Bowl this year (OMG), I will be stress eating the entire 3+ hours of the game, and carbs are a comfort food must for me.
These fries are…nothing short of incredible.
Crispy, salty, ranch-flavored fries topped with tangy and spicy shredded buffalo chicken, copious amounts of cheese, and served with ranch dressing and lots of fresh scallions!
How good does that sound? Bonus: they’re easy to throw together in a large quantity to feed a crowd!
Ingredients You Need for These Buffalo Chicken Ranch Cheese Fries:
- Frozen french fries (use your favorite!)
- Avocado oil (or any neutral-flavored oil)
- Dried ranch seasoning
- Chicken breasts
- Butter
- Buffalo hot sauce
- Shredded cheddar or jack cheese (or a combo)
- Scallions
- Ranch dressing
- Blue cheese crumbles (optional!)
How to Make These Buffalo Chicken Ranch Cheese Fries:
- Spread the fries out in an even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with oil and then sprinkle over ranch seasoning. Toss the fries well to coat in the seasoning and then bake, according to the package directions, until the fries are crispy and golden.
- While the fries bake, prepare the chicken and other toppings.
- In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts, seasoning with a little salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes per side.
- Add the butter to the pan and allow it to melt. Stir in the buffalo sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, turning the chicken occasionally to coat in the buffalo sauce.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool before shredding. Make sure to toss the shredded chicken with any residual buffalo sauce from the pan.
- To Assemble the fries: layer the buffalo chicken, cheeses, and half the scallions over the fries.
- Return the tray to the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is gooey and melted.
- Remove from the oven and top with the remaining scallions, a drizzle of ranch dressing, a drizzle of buffalo sauce, and blue cheese crumbles (if using). Serve immediately while everything is hot. I like to serve this with additional ranch and buffalo sauce on the side for dipping.
