Let’s talk football snacks.

With the Super Bowl happening this weekend, I know fun party food is definitely on a lot of people’s minds this week. My spread it already planned out, and I am pumped about it!

Making an appearance during the big game: Air-Fryer Buffalo Brussels Sprouts!

These are ADDICTING. Super crispy, crunchy, slightly charred air-fried brussels get the buffalo treatment. And they will disappear in record time. I guarantee it.

I have been on a mission to use my air fryer more this year. I bought one a couple years ago and only used it VERY occasionally. So far this year, I have used it multiple times a week. The possibilities in the air fryer really are endless, and I love how quick it works to get things super crispy and crunchy.

Brussels sprouts are no exception.

After they air fry for about 15 minutes, I like to toss them in tangy hot buffalo sauce and then top them with fresh scallions, blue cheese crumbles, and a ranch drizzle. A little extra buffalo sauce drizzled over top takes these to a new level.

I’m telling you: these are GOOD. You’ll never miss the chicken wings with these on the table.

And the best part? They’re incredibly easy to make and don’t require a ton of ingredients.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make These Air-Fryer Buffalo Brussels Sprouts:

  • Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (quartered if very large)
  • Avocado oil
  • Seasonings – kosher salt, garlic salt, and black pepper
  • Unsalted butter
  • Buffalo hot sauce
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • Blue cheese crumbles
  • Scallions

How to Make These Air-Fryer Buffalo Brussels Sprouts:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Prep your brussels sprouts while you wait for the air fryer to heat up.
  • When the air fryer is heated, place the brussels sprouts in the basket, drizzle with the oil, and sprinkle the salt, garlic salt, and pepper evenly over them.
  • Give the basket a shake to evenly distribute the oil and seasonings and then air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket at the halfway mark.
  • While the brussels are frying, make your buffalo sauce by melting the butter in a small saucepan. Whisk the buffalo hot sauce into the melted butter.
  • Place the crispy brussels sprouts on a serving dish and drizzle with as much or as little of the buffalo sauce as you like. I also like to serve some on the side for dunking. Drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing and sprinkle over blue cheese crumbles and chopped scallions just before serving.

Tips & Tricks for these Air-Fryer Buffalo Brussels Sprouts:

  • Every air fryer is different, so I recommend checking them halfway and then again around the 10-minute mark. Adjust the cooking time to your preference. We love them very crispy and charred, so we go the full 15 minutes.
  • I recommend halving your brussels sprouts (or quartering larger ones) so that they cook evenly and get crispy. Larger sprouts will take longer to soften in the middle and crisp on the outside.
  • You can make these your own. Skip the blue cheese if it isn’t your thing (feta is a great substitute). Add a little honey to your buffalo sauce to do a hot honey theme. Garnish them up however you like!
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, you can make these in an oven by roasting the brussels sprouts at 425F for about 15-20 minutes. They won’t get quite as crispy but they’ll still taste amazing!
