White Cranberry Cosmos

I could really go for one of these right now.

This past Friday night, I arrived home from a three-day business trip in Chicago. While the trip was a success, it sucked the life right out of me. Travel always does that. I was exhausted…and I think I’m still recovering.

White Cranberry Cosmos

My sweet husband greeted me at the door with loads of comfort food and the ingredients to make one of our favorite wintery cocktails: a white cranberry cosmo. Like many people, we discovered this cosmo at Bonefish Grill, one of our favorite stops for cocktails and munchies. This drink is delicious…and dangerous. It doesn’t taste like there is ANY booze in these suckers! They go down entirely too easy.

Dan usually opts for a glass of wine or a beer, but even he loves this drink. They are crisp and sweet. Totally delicious…and the perfect cure for my travel recovery.

The recipe below is the one we follow most often, but you can totally use orange vodka instead of cranberry (just omit the triple sec). Plain vodka also works. As you can probably glean from this, we are so obsessed with this drink that we’ll throw anything in the mix if we don’t have cranberry vodka in the house. Desperate times, people.

Now that I’ve established myself as a boozehound, I’ll shut up.

Just make this drink. The end.

(Good luck having just one of these!)

Your husband sounds like a delight! And so does this drink. There’s something so relaxing about mixing a cocktail at home, isn’t there?

I too, first had this drink at Bonefish and I’m hooked!
But I cannot find WHITE cranberry juice anywhere except on line where you have to buy cases. I live in Des Moines, Iowa.
Any clue as to where to find it??

        Thanks, Diane

Diane, I can find it at my regular grocery store in the fruit juice aisle. It’s always right next to the regular cranberry juice. Other than that, I’m not sure where else to get it except online. I will say this: when we are in the mood for this cocktail, one bottle does not last long – so maybe investing in a case would do you some good? I’m sorry I’m not more helpful – I’ve just never had a problem finding it!

Diane, have you tried your grocery store? Ocean Spray makes a white cranberry juice.
I have made this yet but I’m definitely looking forward to it.

          Happy Thanksgiving
